Hooray! Another Tag!!

1. Fill in your memories of 2008.
2. Link my blog to yours.
3. Tag others, and comment on their blogs so they know they've been tagged.

I was tagged by Melanie at Complete in Thee

A good book I read:
Birthright by David C. Needham

A great film/movie I watched:
Pride and Prejudice (the BBC version) The best!

A new place I visited:
Umm…I don’t believe I visited anywhere new in 2008!

An inspiring verse or quote I read:
“Now flee from youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.”
2 Timothy 2:22

A new skill I acquired:
I learned how to make delicious chicken parmigiana!

A lesson I learned:
That my purity is a great treasure and it should be guarded as a priceless jewel.

A moment I will always remember:
I will always remember the first time I saw my nephew. He was all wrapped up in his daddy’s arms and, oh, the look on my brother-in-law’s face! It was such a happy moment!

I tag everyone who peels their bananas from the "wrong" end!

Sincerely,
Miss S.

  1. Hello Sister! I don't have a blog, but I wanted to be tagged anyway. You know, monkeys peel their bananas the "wrong" way too, and I think they probably know a thing or two on the subject. Here I go!

    A good book I read:
Natural Childbirth: The Bradley Way. It definitely helped me and my hubby prepare for our little one's birth. (Sorry. A lot of my answers are going to be about baby things seeing as I was pregnant for most of 2008.)
    A great film/movie I watched:
I really enjoyed Cranford, but I'm sure there were others as well.
    A new place I visited:
We discovered new parts of Washington for our anniversary this year. We explored Fidalgo Island, Camano Island, and La Conner.
An inspiring verse or quote I read:
Psalm 127 was very encouraging to me in the first few weeks of motherhood.
    A new skill I acquired:
Changing diapers! I don't think I had changed more than one or two before the baby was born! But you sure do pick it up quickly.
    A lesson I learned:
The art of relaxing and letting go. Learning to keep the big picture in mind and trusting the Lord in everything.
A moment I will always remember:
My moment is the same as yours! Seeing my son for the very first time so small, beautiful, and helpless. Ooh. It brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it. What a gift he is!

  2. Hello to my darling Miss S!!! ^_^

Hope everything's going well with you!

I had a question...would you like to join me in my 10 Weeks of Esther?? I'm not sure if I invited you or not, or if I did if I ever explained it!!

Anyhow, for 10 weeks we read 1 chapter of Esther per week (tomorrow is Week 4...thus we'll read chapter 4) and we post about what we find in that chapter, along with a craft or other Purim idea. I'd really love to have you join!! All you have to do is read 1 chapter of Esther per week, post your thoughts, and possibly a craft or Purim idea...that simple!! ^_^

    Love you!
    Miss Toria
P.S. 10 Weeks of Esther is at: www.homeschoolblogger.com/toria NOT www.pure-little-ladies-ministry.blogspot.com!!!

Feel free to leave a comment. I have chosen to moderate all comments I receive, so if your comment doesn't appear within 36 hours of your posting it, these are a few possible reasons why.

1. It was irrelevant to the article posted.
2. It was rude or vulgar.
3. I was lazy and forgot all about it.

Please don't chicken out or second guess yourself. I would rather have odd comments than no comments!

Sincerely,
Miss S.
